Now more than ever, it is important to be thinking about how we can be of service to others. What can you do to help out the communities that you are a part of? MA Community Engagement has generated some ideas below.
Support the Black Lives Matter movement. Donate, protest, educate yourself & others, give to black-owned businesses, and refer back to the emails shared by the MA community.
Use Volunteer Match! Looking for ways to be of service during these uncertain times? As the world leader in volunteerism, Volunteer Match offers a huge number of opportunities right here in the Bay Area.
Work with the SF/Marin Food Bank. They have food pantries all the time. Note: if the calendars look full, check back for cancellations within three days of the shift.
Make cards for homebound seniors who may be lonely. Mail them to 1375 Fairfax Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94124. For more information on how to go about doing this, look here.
